"Freeze this moment, it's never been better"
Taking pictures, photographing has always been one of those things I love to do, but no one really know about. It started after I went to Yale, but even back in Lima I'd turn to the camera when I needed to take a break from the real world. I guess that is what I love about it. The world is so ugly, and there are so many horrible things happening all around, but when you do find something beautiful, you just want to freeze the moment and remember it forever. At Yale, I took some photography classes, and fell in love. Turns out, I was good at it too and that was how I became a professional photographer. Two months into the school year, Rachel contacted me, and we got together. It was nice being around her, and to get to explain everything to her. She took it pretty well when I told her that I had been in love with her, and that back in high.school I couldn't deal with my feelings towards her, and therefore treating her the way I did. She understood, and forgave me. She loved me too, she said, which lead to us giving us a chance. It's been four years now, and we're getting married next June.
Rachel, as the tiny adorable diva she is, loves being in focus, and she often drags me out the door to go to Central Park. There she will run around yelling "Take picture of this, Quinn! And this! Oh, oh, look how pretty, give me that camera!" Those are the best moments we share. Those and when I have to chase her down, and straddle her to the ground. I'll tickle her, and she'll laugh her heart out. Then she'll overpower me and straddle me to the ground and kiss the air out of my lungs. The rest of the day we'll lay in the leaves, and wait for the cold to catch us, before we head home. To our home.
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that takes your breath away."
