Description
A birthday present for a lolita friend of mine! Her party is on Saturday, and I'm really excited; we're going to a fancy hotel for tea *A* which I've never done before. I'm like, ironing out my outfit as we speak ... *nerd nerd*.Anyhow, I don't know if you can tell from the smaller version of this picture but it TOOK ME FOREVER, and now I'm depressed that my canvas size is only half the size of a piece of paper (5.5 x 8.5) *A* I need to teach myself to draw on larger canvases, if I ever want to put things in a gallery and NOT stick to making postcards ... *cry*.
This is my new style, folks! I hope you like it ♥ It's been a while in the making but this is the style I'm going to be following along from this point onwards : ) It allows me to be a lot more creative since I don't have to color in the lines, but I've still got the 'safety net' of drawing a sort of sketchy linework to help me out.
While this is a birthday present it's also sort of a thank you/tribute to my idols, Sakizou (from my journal) and ProdigyBombay. I've been snagging bits and pieces of their style for a while now, and I think this piece shows it pretty blatantly XD; I hope to develop something my own from this! : >

Fabulous! I love the soft colouring and the eyes! However, the hips seem far, far too low, anatomy-wise. It doesn't detract from the picture however.

That Back Ground is really beautiful, I love to use that as stationary.
The Hair is really well done! They look like waves rolling of her head.
I love the shading you did for the knees and under her bust, it makes more levels in your work.
The Hat and dress match perfectly, colour wise and that really pretty chain. ( looks more like a locket)
The luminosity of the eyes is just right giving off the reflection of Happiness, ( as if she loved what she wore, and any one couldn't possibly hate it)
I also really like the flush colours you have been using for the elbows and face. it works really well and your putting dabs of it in the right places. Its not too much either so it doesn't take away from the picture but only adds on a more human-ish level

I am loving your new style! The eyes and the hair is more intense and I love it. I liked your old style because of a) the beautiful creative lolita clothing and b) because of the cute poses you drew. I am glad to see that aspect of you has remained.
