Can't stop laughing
Thanks for participating in the Goomba Week of our group, it was a relative random idea but now the results are over 25 submissions including many drawings which look like the best goombas ever seen on dA actually. What would you think could be another good game character etc. for something like this in the group?

First and foremost; thank you for the compliment, and yes I do agree this random idea of your's was quite the success, a lot of awesome drawings came out of it.
Personally I'm a fan of drawing any pawn as I think there's so many underappreciated designs out there, so honestly there's not a character I'd particularily like to draw. However, I think it's the simple design of the Goomba that made it so attractive - it's easy to draw and classic enough to do plenty of things with. So I think I'm leaning towards simple pawns....
Why not some Kirby enemy? Mr. Kibbles perhaps? It's all up to you.
