A commission featuring an "Ale Witch", aka a beer-themed magic user with an animated beer stein as a familiar. A dirndl is one of those traditional german beerfest/octoberfest dresses. Admittedly this is a very simplified version here. Kept her barefoot to emphasize her more peasant/working class background.The inspiration according to the client comes from "Ale Wives" from the late-medieval England and northern Europe, who were supposedly the origin for the visual motifs we associate with modern pop culture witches. (Big pointy hats as a form of getting attention in markets, broomsticks to stir ale barrels, pet cats to chase away mice from their grains, etc)
