Sure it is quite easy - you need to draw or overlay a grid to your reference drawing, and then using the same proportions draw a grid on your paper. Β So if you use a 2cm X 2cm grid on the reference - and you want to double the size draw a 4cm X 4cm grid on your paper - the dimensions themselves are irrelevant as long as you keep the proportions the same (increased or decreased) - i tend to use a grid to make sure I have the outline in the right place, and for increasing the size of my reference - I then ignore the grid for the 'filling' in or shading. But some artists use the grid to copy each exact detail and make sure it is in the same place as the original. Β I even use a grid when i do not have a reference as it helps to ensure eyes are equally spaced or horizontally correct etc. there is a good tutorial hereΒ www.onlypencil.com/blog/tutori...
