Well I didnt do anything intentional  I guess the only thing I can think of is that I use an iPhone to take the initial photographs as I am working, I do not worry about lighting, composure etc. and they are usually taken at the end of the day with artificial light.  The final photograph of the finished drawing I use a Digital SLR and natural lighting, I will then adjust contrast and exposure to try and get a more life like image - this is probably why the last shot looks more enhanced than the others - hope that answers your question?

Yeah originally it had white marks on the blackout to represent water/rain reflecting - didnt look right so I filled the white in! Actually think I should have left the area to the left of her face white! Oh well we live and we learn
