I love the 3D effect this photo of my drawing Wet, taken when almost finished - only another dozen hours or so!Please checkout the finished drawing here....

Its really just about shading - light and dark, and creating textures - it may not seem it from the drawing but a lot of work goes into creating a texture - this all helps create depth and shadows.

This was drawn with traditional pencils 4B to 8B, on smooth paper brought from a local art craft supplier - so it wasnt branded.

I used a grid to draw the outline and the key features, and then erase it before rendering the drawing - thanks for commenting
