My Li Syaoran cosplay. From Card Captor Sakura.All parts made by me for Auckland Armageddon Cosplay Contest 2011.
The Sword is made from cardboard and masking tape. The blade is removable so that it is easier to transport.

Thanks! It took a number of attempts to get the shape right.
The key is, that it is shaped like a triangle with straight sides. Curved under side did not work.
