Yes, i've had a go with bristol paper. I will have to look into the other papers ... any suggestions for smooth finish papers that would be could for acrylics or water soluble oils?

I've been using multimedia board or heavy smoothΒ watercolor paper- a lot of times I do the underpainting in thin acrylic, then give it aΒ layer of acrylic mat medium before painting in oils(which I also use inΒ a rather thin manner)

you have those 2 choices- Strathmore offers only type per pad- Canson has 2 different sides to each individual sheet and is lower in price than strathmore
