Paulina Góra’s painting exhibition “Dreams and Memories” in Gallery in the Attic, part of Municipal Public Library in Włodawa makes a premiere presentation of “Project 12x12” consisting of 12 paintings created in the span of 12 months of the previous year.
The series takes on the topic of human’s inner transformation shown in the artist’s style taking from metaphorical art. Figurative representation of human figure is strengthened by the use symbolism of gemstones as well as moth motif. Paulina Góra’s creations, thus, become an attempt to fill the existing gap between real life - colloquial reality and immortality of a soul, transcending the Earth’s matter. Therefore, art of Paulina Góra tries to fill the void between the artist and the recipient. It all gives a possibility to start an extraordinary conversation about transience and rebirth, destruction and creation of the (un)real world.
