This shot was taken before the sun came up.. I went to check out the sunrise, but a storm had blown in and there was very little colour other than blue on the eastern facing coast.. so I headed over to the west coast and took some photos at Sugar Loaf Rock.. I’m very happy I did as I just love this shot!These were the actual colours captured by the camera, I haven’t photoshoped the colours at all, I’ve just adjusted the white balance down somewhat in order to exaggerate the blue that was already there.. love this shot!

This is a very eye-catching photo, I really like the way that you have used light to draw the viewers eye to the rock. I was instantly taken by the detail that you can see in the rocks as well as the stunning colour but when viewed closely I found the blown out part of the sky to be quite distracting. Your processing seems to have given it quite rough edges which makes it stand out more than it should. I think that a few minutes with the clone tool could allow you to delete the blown out area and replace it with some more of the amazing clouds that you have here.
Aside from that I really like the catchlights you have on the foreground rocks, it really adds another dimension to the scene as well as giving the viewer some interesting foreground detail but without distracting from the 'main' rock.
