this brings me back to the days of d&d... of course, we were always the "party (not) ready for action" hehe... fabulous piece, i love it!

Do you draw straight on with pen of sketch it out with pencil first?
I've had a look through your gallery, and I have to say that everything I've seen is stunning. All that exquisite detail.. I don't know how you do the shading like that with a pen. Either way, you're well worth watching.

Wow man you have got very smooth and fine penmanship. What type of pens do you use in general? And favorite brands that are smooth and easy to shade with?

Thanks! I simply use a plain old papermate fine ballpoint pen, I usually buy a box of them, they're pretty cheap. The ink is low grade but I like how you don't get a purplish or bluish reflection like many other black ballpoints. As far as smooth and easy it's a matter using very very light strokes. There's always the impending of the danger of the dreaded BLOB but I've learned to tame the beast by periodically scribbling on a scrap of paper.
