Description This was a beauty of a waterfall in St. Catherine's Ontario. My only regret here was that we were unable to make it to the upper falls. Being the only two people there it was not worth the risk getting there as it required a very steep incline climb with nothing but tree roots to hang onto 60ft high and for at least 300 hundred feet before it leveled out to even terrain. If we would have lost our footing we would been in serious trouble. The upper falls looked to be twice this this size but there were no good views at all from the top of the trail. Needless to say I was very happy that this waterfall was here.

I stumbled on your pic by accident and had to laugh...we were just there 2 days ago!! LOL Oh, and I feel your pain on the climb...at 44 and 55 we were dying once we reached back up the gorge to the trail!! We also didn't get to the base of the Upper falls but after the climb to the Lower we just were spent!! LMAO Sadly the overcast skies dissappeared once we arrived so we didn't get any decent misting shots of the falls but I did get a shot for my first attempt at HDR.

Here's one of my shots from our hike:

Planning on checking out your other falls shots...we love them too!

Cheers!!

Darlene

Thank you! It was quite impressive and worth the semi difficult creek walk

how did you get down to these lower falls? cuz if you got down to this falls.. the 2 main falls arent very far away. just have to climb up the small hill on the left hand side of the falls and walk a short path. there is 1 good area to go down to the main 2 falls from the path above. there is usually a rope there. When I was at the YMCA camps we used to bring 30 kids down there once a week.

shame you didnt get to go to the other falls.. i call them the mini niagara falls.. cuz they are very similar to the real ones

We walked all the way down to the creek and did a long creek walk. We weren't too pleased with ourselves for not making it up to the main ones but it just didn't look safe enough. We Completely missed the rope as well, if I get there again I will be on the lookout for it. Thanks for the info!

yah me and my aunt did the creek walk too.. water was high so it was hard ive done the walk from the main falls down the creek to the road when i was younger. you were probably a 5 minute walk from the falls when you are at the lower one!! tis a shame

the easist way to get down to the falls.. is to park at morning star mill and follow the trail behind the fence.

That is where we parked we just must have missed the ropes. I have seen shots of the main and it is a shame for that we missed it. I'll return there someday and give it a go

Great fall. If I were there, I definitely would take a close up of the center left side.

Thanks Neither of us thought of that unfortunately, we were trying to figure how to get to the upper and we still had a lot of stops that day. In hindsight we should have stayed at this one longer
