That is so creepy and cool. I agree with the idea of this as a stereoscopic image.
She gives me the impression of some kind of huntress, who grew the wings as camouflage against the bushes in the monochromatic wilderness.

This would look sweet as a stereoscopic image. And since it's B&W, it would lend itself well to the red-green imaging.
