Whenever I want to make a character pairing, but don't have a character to pair them with, I just put them with who I call the 'Mysterious Faceless Lover without a Name'
I use them so much they've pretty much become an actual character ._.

xD Sometimes I just make randoms and generics when I can't think of much of a personality beyond a story line. But less often now thankfully .m.
I get what you mean though xD Random characters with no purpose- few days later IS MOST INFLUENTIAL CHARACTER lol.

Haha, yeah. Sometimes, though, the random characteristics I gave that character either magically make things fall into place (I.e., OC paired with a generic character, generic character was made with an intrest in radioactive materials, OC was originally created with a mysterious illness due to prolonged exposure to hazardous materials, also has a past 'thing' with generic character...BOOM. The OC got the illness working with the generic character! I didn't even think about the connection!) or make them become the MOST FAVORITE AND POPULAR AND IMPORTANT CHARACTER EVER.
It isn't always bad to have these kinda of characters, though. They're good for dramatic revelations and shocking plot twists, 'cause they aren't developed much.
