Title: The Awesome Adventures of Koffi & his Friends
Subtitle: "Tale of an African Christmas"

Issue: No. 7
Vol.: #1

Date of Release: 01/04/2018

Plot: It's Christmas time for Koffi and his friends. As the story is told through narration, Koffi decides what he wants to do on the eve of Christmas. Mr. Obimpong then purchases a few items from the market to embellish the house, such as a tradition-oriented mistletoe and Christmas tree. The following morning, on Christmas Day, Koffi and his father, Mr. Obimpong, and Tati Anazietta wake up to the sound of a crier outside of their home. The crier is a man known as the "tax-collector". They go outside to find out what the problem is. They come to find out that the tax-collector is a thief, who nearly knives Mr. Obimpong with a machete when he refuses to give him his items. Due to Koffi's sweet, little voice, the thief had immediately stopped and put down his weapon. He apologizes and begins to slowly walk away. So, Mr. Obimpong invites him into the house for breakfast. He tells them his reason for stealing items from other peoples' property; he is a former preacher, who has a family he's trying to support with no money. Koffi and Mr. Obimpong felt tremendously sorry for the man and decide to lend him some food and a few of their Christmas items that he can take home. Before the man leaves their house, Mr. Obimpong also gives him some money and a rosary, telling him to never give up his position as a preacher and to return to Christ. Deeply touched by the man's story, Koffi learns to be more appreciative of the things he has. A few hours later, his friends come over to his house, showing off and bragging about each of their Christmas gifts. Kwame got a new bike with a nice set, including a helmet, Kudjoe received a well-furnished English drum-set, and Ekua and Adia both received new clothing; a new pair of shoes for Ekua and a complete kid's makeup set for Adia. When asked by his friends what he received for Christmas, Koffi shamefully tells them that he hasn't received any presents for Christmas. They all laughed at him until Koffi gives them major breaking news of the incident that he'd experienced earlier at his home. As a result, he gives his friends a life lesson saying that, "gifts aren't what makes Christmas special, it is true faith in Christ, love, and the act of giving something that is most valuable to you, to others that don't have it".
