Plot: The third episode reveals detailed information about the death of Koffi's mother. As Koffi just turns nine, he begins to learn more about the truth behind his mother's passing. As the story is narrated by his father, her death initially traces back to a sorcerer known as "Mogya-Aponkye" (Twi for "blood-goat"). The magic elixir was initially given to a sick patient named Raoh (Raul) for healing purposes, who places it on top of a shelf at his home. The elixir unknowingly, falls into the pocket of his daughter, Annaia, as she walks past the shelf. While outside the elixir somehow lands on the ground at the marketplace. The elixir is then, retrieved by Sikita, Adia's pet mandrill-cat hybrid. She snatches the elixir out of Sikita's mouth. Curious about the item, she brings the object home with her, unaware of the dangers that lie behind the object. Adia's obsession with the magic elixir grew more intense the more she touches it. Then, as Mr. Obimpong continues with the story, Koffi remembers this one event. One morning, when Adia came over to his house, she was acting very unusual. After she leaves his house, Koffi then finds the elixir lying on the dining table. He picks it up and shows it to his mother. When giving this bottle to his mother, she immediately jumps back, yelling at Koffi, asking him where the bottle had come from. After telling her that he'd found it on the dining table, she retrieved the bottle from him, runs out of the house, and throws it out into the sea, nearby. It has been foretold that if 'one who bears the item is ungrateful towards it, they will die a very slow and painful death.' And so that was the result; she passed overnight and the following morning Koffi and his father, Mr. Obimpong, found her lying on her bed unresponsive. That was the end of the story.
