I had just painted a bouquet of roses that would brighten the room long after the flowers were gone. Mandy dressed for our first night on the town since our infant son's birth while the new babysitter watched him. I took the opportunity to snap some photos of the young mother. She had lost most of the baby fat, and was ready for prime time.

If I remember correctly, we went to dinner and a Latin disco club,. Thankfully it was dark at the club to avoid unwanted attention. But when we were under the lights, the eyes were on her. Dancing Latin style is very focused. She moved like Beyoncé but 35 years earlier. She certainly had the curves! Even the women were transfixed by her movements.
