Description Finally, this isn't the star wars LEGO model that it started to look like. Its just my little modification, hope you all like it. Modeled in 3ds Max, rendered with the default scanline render, rendering time is 17 minutes.

Would you consider making this into studio/bricklink? I really love this set!

z3r0t0lerance [2008-01-03 06:25:28 +0000 UTC]

was it modeled piece by piece as if it was made of real LEGO pieces or was it modeled by using several number of pieces (having equivalent proportions to original LEGO pieces) made to look as if it was built from LEGO pieces scratch?

I'm actually planning to pull out my LEGOs from the cupboards to inspire myself in doing 3D models.

By the way, the design of this vehicle looks cool.

Thanks, it was built brick by brick just like the real think.

Wow

But how do you do each brick? Do you have a reference of measurement of some sort?

Very nice modeling! Just need to make the color of the legos a little more bright and a slighty more saturated color. Otherwise I would say that it looks very realistic in structure. Heheheheh, I should maybe make something with my old set of legos and try making it in 3DS Max as well, when I get the time. Otherwise, did you get the idea of creating it off of a WIP on 3dkingdom.com?

Thanks! actulley I was just sitting here one day, and got really bored, I had some LEGO pieces scattered about, and bam the idea hit me. I actulley haven't visited 3dkingdom in awhile, lol. Thanks again for the comment!

That is quite a cool render!
I'll bet money that almost every virtual little boy would want to have one of those to play with.
Come to think of it ... so would I!

I am just coming to the end of my second term of my first year at uni, and part of my course relies heavily on 3DS max. So, i know how hard and time constiuming something of that quality would be to create.

Kudos to you for creating something of that quality
