I had a female assassin character once (AD&D) who fought with dual daggers and throwing knives, she found herself in a similar situation. Brought about one of my funniest quotes as she (Tanith Marrowblight was the character name...yes I like the name Tanith) ran away from the fight with a hill giant, she turned to the rest of the party and said.... "The only way I'm going to be able to kill that thing is if its daddy ain't around to perform a Heimlich."
