Description I have decided to try my hand at making a US-style one sheet poster in GIMP 2.0 for the second and final sequel to the Super Mario Bros live-action/animated movie that I am writing called "Resurrection in the Stars".

If someday this movie of mine is made, it and its predecessor could open the door for an entire cinematic universe not unlike what Marvel and DC are up to with Disney and Warner Bros. This Nintendo Cinematic Universe could hopefully feature films from other Nintendo franchises in hybrids of live-action and both 2-D/3-D animation (whether by computer or stop-motion). Properties could include The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Star Fox, EarthBound, Wario, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Yoshi, Game & Watch, Pokémon, Animal Crossing and even Kid Icarus , with their ultimate crossovers happening in a film like Marvel's The Avengers but named Super Smash Bros.

Now on to the STORY:

Combining the stories of Donkey Kong Country, Paper Mario, Mario and Luigi, Wario Land, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario 64 and the Super Mario Galaxy games with backstory material from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, Yoshi's Island DS and the original Donkey Kong arcade, Game & Watch and Nintendo Entertainment System/NES titles; we get to see the love child of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows playing out in the universe of Mario and company, as we see the third and final part of the REAL story of what happened on the Mushroom Planet after the events of the first movie.

In the wake of Bowser Junior giving up his life and Rosalina/Rosetta giving up her freedom to drive off the One Assembly of Discord, Peach soon begins to find that she is inexplicably being driven insane. Somehow, Junior managed to save his living spirit or "Zonvma" by implanting it into Peach. If Peach retains Junior's Zonvma in her mind for too long, she could die - the only way to remove it is for Peach to go recover Junior's remains and bring them both to the temple of Mount Koopatoria for final resting. Mario & Bowser volunteer to help her set Junior's final affairs in order in hopes that he can find peace and if he is somehow alive, bring him back to what he was before.

Retreating further and further towards the Center of the Universe, the One Assembly of Discord orders Rosalina/Rosetta, the Sprixies and Merfles to gather Power Stars, Shine Sprites and the Seven Star pieces to make up Star Road. With the collection of stars and sprites that they hope to collect, the Assembly can power its factories to build a powerful military that can conquer the galaxies surrounding them and make an intergalactic path for a recuperating Antasma and Dimentio to spread their nightmares and destruction anywhere they please. In their overconfidence, they forget to count on the craftiness of their disgruntled minions Nabbit and the Axem Rangers switching sides.

Luigi and Daisy manage to convert the Daisy Cruiser into an intergalactic aircraft carrier-battleship hybrid starship that will lead Bowser's own Koopstar Cruiser, the Starship Mario, Starshroom, Comet Observatory and the Kong's Banana Spaceship on the voyage to recover the many artifacts the Assembly had collected and purge their galaxy of the forces of evil. Wario and Waluigi depart with Captain Syrup on the SS Sweet Stuff to avoid what could be a suicidal battle. As the voyage to save their friends gets underway, Bowser begins to develop an inner need to save Rosalina/Rosetta. Since both are single parents who'd like a decent mate, Mario and Peach decide to set them up.

On word from the reformed Nabbit and Axem Rangers, the collection of our heroes (known as the Alliance of the Stars) sets out into the various galaxies to reclaim the Power Stars, Shine Sprites and pieces of Star Road from the Assembly. As their power begins to increase; Dimentio and Antasma battle the equally nasty Lord Fawful, Cackletta and Princess Shroob to find the book that will reawaken another part of their trinity - the Shadow Queen. When and if the Shadow Queen awakens, she will have plans for one of the princesses and much of the Mario universe as a whole, should our heroes not arrive in time. Meanwhile, the enslaved Sprixies find a revived Bowser Junior.

Against their better judgment; Wario, Waluigi and Captain Syrup have a change of heart after rescuing Nabbit and the Axem Rangers from being caught and sentenced to "Game Over" by the Unholy Trinity (Antasma, the Shadow Queen and Dimentio). In the heat of penetrating the Center of the Universe to save the day, our heroes profess their love for each other (Mario X Peach, Luigi X Daisy, Wario X Syrup, Waluigi X Merelda, Toad X Toadette, Yoshi X Birdo, Bowser X Rosalina/Rosetta, Donkey Kong X Candy Kong, and Diddy Kong X Dixie Kong). It is this love, friendship and family ties that gives them the courage to face off against the Assembly over the Universe's fate...

If it's inspired by Invader Zim, that'd be a real hoot!

But this is supposed to be where after sacrificing himself in the last film, Bowser Junior is supposed to be the Emotional MacGuffin our heroes need to rescue and resurrect.

I think you mean Nigel Casey as Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat Armageddon. But same series, so it's fine.

As for why I had Fred Tatasciore as Bowser? Well, after hearing and seeing him as Hulk (Marvel Comics), Megatron (Transformers) and Commissioner James Gordon (DC Super Hero Girls); I was able to see his range of being able to do both good and evil as a king and a loving father equally.

This trilogy where Bowser is allied with Mario and his friends would also reveal a Zen Buddhist/surfer dude side to him like Jeff Bridges' characters Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski from The Big Lebowski as well as Kevin Flynn/CLU from TRON and Tron: Legacy as done by Tatasciore for games and the series Tron: Uprising.
