Thank you! It was actually fun and frustrating at the same time. I'd like to keep improving and am always open to suggestions.

The tell tail signs of a true artist.
You might enjoy this, [link] , granted it is Elizabethan not Tudor but the styles didn't change too dramatically between those time periods. Or The Tudor Tailor [link] I have one of their books and just love it.

You are too kind! I did try to do research online, but I'm still learning how to sew and everything is basically a different language for me. I really love Renaissance paintings and tried to understand the different parts of their clothing. Too many layers!! I'll never be like Ninya Mikhaila (whose work is beautifully amazing!), but she is admirable! When I make MY dress I will have to do it right!

Lol. Thank you. I don't mind being modest and knowing my limitations too. We just work with what we can, right?
Now that you have offered to give advice, I may be taking you up on that some time!

Very lovely the dress and the red one too. The jewelry and french hood really round out the costume beautifully as well as matching well with the fabrics you picked. Very lovely. I bet she felt like royalty. And I know you wouldn't have been able to get that dress off me when I was her age. I would have adored a dress like that.

Thank you so much! I've been wanting to make my own costume for the Ren Fest, but wanted to build my confidence by making a smaller version.

If you can do small ones like that, I'm sure you'll do just fine with the bigger ones. The volume of fabric is just that much more fun to work with. XD I got married at the Ren Fest actually, and I made my dress and the wedding parties costumes. It was easier than I thought it would be by the first time I got through the first dress and mine had the most fabric to it.

Oh my, that's crazy! But very awesome. And you didn't have to decorate for your wedding! I used to go to the Ren Fest more, but wasn't happy about the cost. This year my friends insisted we go. I thought at least one of us should dress up. So I raced through the red dress. I had the fabric. There's no pattern for that size so it was kinda tricky. Now a few of us have been fabric shopping for the next one.
