Okay, the character's names from left to right are Ivy, Ryo, Nadia, Ripley, and *drum roll please* Minty!
Why are they rainbow you ask? I have no idea really. Just for the hell of it I guess. 
Ivy is my plant being. I adore her dreadlocks. I haven't picked a show to put her in yet, but I'll think of one sooner or later.
Ryo is my Predator character. She is Ta'lmerc's girlfriend. Don't ask how that happened. 
Nadia is my Star Trek: Deep Space 9 character. Her species is called Chimera.....haven't figured out why that is yet. Ripley is my android character for Transformers Armada. One of my fave animes. ^.^ And Minty is....well...she's just Minty. 
She's in the same situation as Ivy is at the moment.

Well it certainly came out great ^_^ I like designing characters too, but I loose my attentionspan with them usually XP. I forgot what else I had to say O.o;
