Mermay number 6. (And last one I’m mass posting, now all caught up! Sorry for the spam😅) This one reminds me of a shark warrior mermaid I did last year so when I went to color her in the livestream on YouTube, I knew I didn’t want to use the same colors as the one I did last year which was grey and red. instead I still wanted a grey/dark tail but I went with a vibrant blue and a very light green. At the end of the livestream I wasn’t sure what I could do to make the drawing a bit more interesting, I added a bit of a top instead of leaving her bare chested and got an idea to put scales up her arm. I also added some speckling to her tail with a white color pencil to add some texture. In the end I’m really happy with how this one turned out
