Thanks. The far trickier set was a couple weeks later at Taughannock Falls on a brilliantly sunny day.

Thanks, Esa. I have a 12x18 canvas print of this one hanging in the living room.

Are those hobbits and dwarves on the bridge? No trolls about?
This is indeed a fine image. You are, I think, getting to be fully recuperated after a rather rough half year. It shows in your ability to see.

The trolls and such were several months ago; they are largely vanquished, though not completely. It has been a rough year.

Glad they are at bay.
We won't reach home in this world - be strong.
And take good photos.

It's a gorgeous place, a long skinny park along the Genesee River gorge. If you ever get to the US, put it on your must-see list.

Definitly, Steve. I checked where it is located. By the way, you are really a master with this Argus camera. The quality of these captures is amazing!

Thanks, Mark. It looks almost silly sitting on top of a big, heavy tripod with a shutter release cable dangling, but it makes a huge difference.

It's the camera that sealed the deal for the 135 "35mm in a can" format. It had a very long production run so current prices are pretty low.

Interesting, Steven. The Argus is not known here and I found none on the german market. But I bought one now from the US for a almost rediculous price (the shipping was more than double!). I see that one even can interchange lenses, that's a nice feature not many rangefinders have. Downloaded a manual and study it now. I hope the camera is technically OK. It looked mint on the photos.

I didn't realize until I went prowling yesterday that you could get other lenses. Let the bidding begin.
