It seems I am a better photographer than photography instructor.Neha thought it not right that I didn't have good photographs of the photographer to post. So we took a break from work and walked across the road to a grassy spot for some picture taking. The two photos she took of me were well-enough composed but looked like the shutter had been set on bulb, which it wasn't. It seems her finger was blocking the travel of the shutter lever. Or something. We shall have to try it again.
But I did get a reasonably-good photo of her.

It is a remarkably enchanting portrait, all the better in black and white, and even for the jumble of power lines in the background. It somehow captures the feel of an older but happier time.

Thanks, mate. And a reminder, perhaps, that happy times are still here if we can slow down and open our eyes. It's just a mowed section by the railroad siding right of way across the road from work. But it's another world, a peaceful place where two friends could goof around with a camera. (Neha, at 30, is a year older than my youngest son.)
