Coloured Pencil Project No. 3
A cute Pikachu with an aviator hat. My little brother requested me do draw this and my skills with coloured pencils are getting better.Β Β This picture was sketched, outlined and painted by me but note that the design was not my own idea! So if this is your design, please send me a note so I can give proper credits!

This one is really cute and at first I thought the yellow of the pikachu was actually done in marker but I can see now it is colored pencil. Well done on those cell shaded areas where you defined the form and shadow with the darker colors. Since this was done from reference you can see some areas that either you or the other artist made some mistakes on. it's a bit difficult to really judge that since I'm unsure who I am actually critiquing in this case. I'll say I notice the leg on the right side is foreshortened improperly or just at a very unaesthetic-ally pleasing angle. The eye on the left side dips down too far along the face and is also quite off in comparison to the right side's eye. The bell also wasn't drawn through properly so where the strap of the hat comes down over it it shouldn't have that flat edge coming into the corner of the flap instead it should be more rounded as now it has this flat edge. Still good color job overall. Scanning or taking photographs of traditional work just never seems to give it the proper respect the piece deserves. I'm sure the colors are more vivid and possibly darker in person but on this picture or scan it just seems too dull without the proper contrast.
