I like to imagine that Type: Null is a failed expirement of the real bad guys, team Aether, and Gladion rescued it. It was supposed to be another Arceus. And so, to show thanks, Gladion is the only one it will trust with its power.

Nope, sorry. Look at the discipttion of Type: Null. It says its spoken of in Mythology which means its way older then Team Aether. And why does everyone think its suppose to have been an Arceus? Type changing because of held item? Sure maybe it was designed to copy Arceus power. But I think it was meant to combat the Ultra Beast.
