Wonderful lighting, it looks absolutely real. You really captured the whole concept of the gothic architecture, and its monastery meditation passages around the inner garden. Beautiful work.

Wow - that's great! I thought most of the setting was computerized, but then everyone's got to have a real life model of inspiration after all.

Wow, quality is over the top... absolutely beautiful... was this inspired by a workshop? Looks similar to one of FxPhd's course. 10/10

I was looking for reference for my other project, then i found a similar picture and thought "Wow... has anyone ever tried to remake this?"

I like the 2 point perspective compressed very close to each other here, it gives this dramatic 'fish eye' feel to it
On another note, it reminds me when I played around with high FOV setting (field of view) in video games, it's was unpractical but was fun

I wanted to show both sides. Used 14 mm lenses for the cam, which killed the depth a bit. Most of the effort went into putting it back there dust, lights turning bluish and weaker in the end etc

It has to be a blast to model it all

Ahmed7193 In reply to isisdesignstudio [2013-05-17 01:32:52 +0000 UTC]

Actually you can model one section then duplicate that I'm guessing

Yeah but what about all that angles and structure wrinkles?

Peet-B In reply to isisdesignstudio [2013-05-17 10:45:15 +0000 UTC]

Ahmed has the right idea ; )
There were 5 big sections, with lots of repeating parts in themselves too.
Sadly that wasnt an option during texturing, when i repeated the same texture for every tiny bit, it looked flat and really fake. The deformed details on the arches had to be made by hand... modifying window pieces simply didnt work out.

Ahmed7193 In reply to Peet-B [2013-05-19 12:37:14 +0000 UTC]

The repeating part takes no creativity away from the project at all, its an absolute masterpiece. To the normal eye of others they'd think every section was separately made but when you think of the smart way of getting such amazing complex structure you'd know a bit of repeating can be done. You're talented and much respect.
