Description
The Dingo GBFSS (Ground Based Fire Support System) is a highly sophisticated radar detection system mounted to a standard Dingo Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. The GBFSS is short to medium range detection system that is designed to detect targets on the ground and in the air, determine the nature of the threat (Speed, altitude, range to target, threat level, etc. ), and transmit this data to all surrounding ground and air units. As well as having a direct feed to any nearby command centers.

The GBFSS also is equipped with a short range but very powerful active sensor array which can help improve the targeting of all nearby units. However this system is line of sight only and is mainly used when aerial units are not available, since most aircraft are much better equipped to handle this task.

The Dingo LRV is a two person vehicle with a driver and a commander. It has a powerful engine that can provide enough power to comfortably allow the vehicle to travel at 75Km/h on smooth terrain and has been built to reduce it's thermal and audio signature as much as possible. And the engine compartment has built in sound dampeners to help reduce noise levels. Combined with exterior camouflaged netting and proper positioning of the vehicle makes it very difficult to detect. And the low profile and small size make it appear as possibly an armored car on most radars. The Dingo GBFSS is incapable of defending itself due to lack of weapons and is reliant upon friendly units to protect it, thus the best position for this vehicle is behind friendly lines or supporting convoys.
