Watercolor, pens, and tears.
Some things are eventual. Some things cannot be helped. Some things cannot be changed. And some things are only witnessed by the fly on the wall.
Note: I did not really paint with my tears...that is far too angsty, even for me.

Violent and delicate....two things not normally together...but it happens. I often joke with people that I am a delicate little flower...it is funny because I am not. Thanks for checking it out and for the fav.

My idea for that 'savage juxtaposition' was to bring out differences in scale: what we perceive as delicate may seem, at the insect scale, to be monstrously violent. Something about the picture really transcends those scales

Really? I am so unsure about this one, so thank you. I am painting a few to put into a local show called CNote. Once I get them done, I will have all my DA friends vote on which ones to enter.

Nah, that is not stupid. C-notes are $100 bills, so all the works will sell for a hundred bucks. I should just put in an old work that is setting around.

I'm not completely sure that I don't suck at color most days. I am finding that I like to use every color that I have.
You should try out watercolor some time. I have to warn you, it is pretty addicting!

Hey, what ever happened with "assemblage" category. I get really confused on some of my works as to where exactly they go. They are more assemblage than mixed media. Thought of switching them to collage, but then that did not seem right. I notice that you have categorized yours as collage.

I have the same problem as you. Unfortunately there's no assemblage category at DA. I get so frustrated. When I want to browse for assemblage works I have to go trough collage, mixed media and sculpture... it's very annoying. When I submitted my last works I selected mixed media, like usual, but then the subcategorie appears for me to choose and I selected collage. But that's not right. Have to change that. Thanks.
