I never meant to hurt anyone and I never meant to offend people either, but I'm sorry if I did. From the bottom of my poor starved heart I'm sorry if at any point you ever found me to be strangling you, because I swear, it was all quite unintentional.Recently I've become too obsessed with you. All I want is to be loved and wanted... all I want is to be special.
However I am obviously not the one for you, we clearly do not fit together. You see, I paint the sky blue, green, red, yellow, pink and purple with my words. With my pen I can break hearts and create ties between people even deeper than love.
But you? With your paints and acrylics – the smell of which clinging to your clothes I love so much – you only use words to drown me in criticism. Yet I still love you for it.
Now I'm alone, I've never been wanted, never been loved. Only one thing will caress me now.
And that, my old friend, is the harsh touch of the rope around my neck as I jump.

I like this story you wrote, but there's just something I cant get off my mind about it. I'm just saying my personal opinion here, but it feels like the last line of the story was, easy. Not in the manner of easy to write or come up with, but in the sense for the character, it seemed like it was an easy conclusion to come to.
From reading this, the main character seems to value themselves as a creative, talented and open minded artist, inwardly and outwardly. In this sense, they seem proud of who they are, stating how uncohesive they are in comparison. But then to turn around and take their own life for losing someone so incompatible.. seems like a drastic change of their self opinion. It sounds to me, like they know that they are special, but want to hear it and see it from someone else more.
My heart wants me to say "Love yourself before you search for the love of someone else, because how can you give love to others, if you cant give it to yourself?" because it seemed so easy to throw themselves away when they felt that rejection. Regardless though, I'm not sure if this counts as a critique or anything, its just a thought I wanted to share with you. I've read a few of your pieces recently and have enjoyed them all, keep them coming!

I love the last line. This doesn't make sense, but when I first looked at it, I only saw the last line and I thought it said "the harsh sound of the rope". I didn't notice the caressing part either, so I thought of it in a slightly different sense. It made the last line seem very... cool... (not at all the right word, but you know...)
Either way you read it though, the last line is AWESOME!!
The whole piece is really good, but it was the last line that made me fall in love.

It's sort of about me, it was meant to be a sarky apology about all them people who've been slating my work recently then it developed into a story, the painty guy did exist and used to be a friend of mine who used to read my writing but he commited suicide and we've come the fulll circle onyl this time the girl killed herself and he didn't >.< But he stank of paint alla time

Somehow this touche me. I never saw suicide as an option, but I´ve been there too. This feeling crushes everybody sooner or later. It is how much we can take that matters.
