If you've seen Star Wars - Phantom Menace and still remember the Planet Tatooine (Tatouine), then you can imagine where I spent my last days in Tunisia.This shot was taken under a very strong wind on the dunes near one of the best preserved Star Wars sets in Tunisia

Ah yes, Tunisia. I shot for Disney during the Star Wars Weekend this past year. Got to meet some interesting people.
Anyway.
This image is probably my favorite thus far.
You have a talent for capturing the mood of a place and setting the tone. This is a very good gift.

It was neat. I got two shots back from them (of Darth Vader and Boba Fett) that they used on their website and I threw them into my portfolio. And I got to meet the guy who played Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and the kid who played Boba Fett (forget his name).
Anyway, this definetly deserved a fav. For me, a good picture is where you cease to realize it IS a picture and therefor appreciate it for all it's values.

maybe you are right. I had the black frame to go with the dark men... but I see the white frame and the bright sky add a lot more attention to them

A fotografia estΓ‘ mto bonita. As cores do deserto estΓ£o Γ³ptimas. Apenas acho que a moldura preta carrega demasiado, acho que escolheria uma branca, q deixa a foto expandir-se.

yes! actualy that movie was also filmed near this location. Do you remenber the site where the plane crashed? it was about 10 kms from this spot

This is a really striking shot! I can't decide whether it's the coloration, the shadowing and silhouettes, or the motion of the wind-blown sand, but there's something about this shot that is really captivating! This is just such a well composed shot! Not to mention that you went on vacation to the site of Star Wars sets... that's an automatic +10 in my book
