I find myself being drawn to the texture of the bricks more than to the central figure (not that that’s a bad thing, mind you). Really fascinating texture study there. It would have been interesting to see how that would have looked with a more uniform lighting scheme – even just having a large piece of foamcore or white cardboard to bounce some of the light back into the shadow areas, for instance.
Still, I like the composition and the way you’ve chosen to portray the subject, and the shadows don’t really bother me as much as they apparently do some others here. If you’ve been shooting RAW, you may want to consider pulling the highlights back a bit since a good deal of his shirt is getting blown out, which I do find distracting.

I like the colors and contrast and the fact that you didn't shot the whole man.
I just think his position shouldn't be so central. Maybe a little bit more to the left.
