Name Explanation: Adrian Adolph Greenberg most widely known as Adrian, was an American costume designer. Fred Astaire was a famous American film and Broadway dancer. He is well-known for starring with Ginger Rogers in musical films.

Personality: Adrian is a true sweetheart, but with quiet a short fuse. She is spunky and outgoing and really works hard at her job, but when something doesn’t turn out quite right she’ll set it on fire with inferno (turning it to ashes usually the day before she needs it done) which incidentally makes her have to start the costume over again and work all night to finish it.

History: Adrian was born in Eleve and had lived there all her life. She wasn’t watched much as a child which allowed her to sneak out and watch all the dancers perform. She had always wanted to be a dancer but, unfortunately she is a super-klutz. She copied the dancers from hiding spots for many many years but when she did eventually try out she didn’t make it. Adrian was crushed, but she kept practicing and tried again. But to no success… Then on her third attempt one of the costume designers asked her where she got her dress, Adrian replied that she had made it from scraps she found (in the theatre but she didn’t tell them that). The designer was so impressed he took her under his wing and taught her all the tricks of the trade. He was, truly, her first and only friend.

Adrian had been by his side for 10 years when he passed away from an illness. Adrian became depressed beyond compare, she mopped around all day and cried and beat herself up all night (blaming herself for not noticing he was sick sooner). When she finally did emerge from her depression none of the other designers or dancers wanted to be near her, having seen her self-destructive behavior. Adrian tried to find work for another year when she finally came across a small dance studio where she could live and make costumes for the small troop. Over the next several years Adrian slowly was reintroduced to her former personality with the help of her new dancer friends.

Today Adrian still works for the troop, but it has grown much larger and she has many other designers she works with to keep their needs met. Adrian also takes time for herself, to “de-stress”. She enjoys traveling to the other nations to experience a different world and she always feels almost, renewed.
