Description

Since my Sci-Fi story is coming along so well I decided to keep working on my sequel Idea.

It is time to introduce you to its main character. Ferdinand Kovac, a 27 year old ethnic slovenian military geologist from lower Styria. Ferdinand is rather quiet and a little melancholic. All he wants to do is study geology in peace - some people (including his father, a retired naval-officer) might go so far and call him a coward - but unfortunately there is a world war going on around him. One day he recieves a mysterious box that used to belong to the late paleontologist Augustus Edelsberger and he discovers a time portal inside.

Wanting nothing to do with it he hands it over to his superiors, who decide that capturing prehistoric animals for the war effort is a great idea!

Famous paleontologist and army captain Baron Nopcsa is put in charge of the missions and Ferdinand finds himself in the middle - not so happy with his new assignment.

So far the premise.

I want to take this story in a totally different direction than the first one. The animals in this story will not be the threat... rather they will be characters of their own. I have already posted a drawing of my first ever Dinosaur-character - a Utharaptor named "Zare" who is the Raptor assigned to Salim Jasar, an elite Bosniak soldier and commander of the Austro-Hungarian raptor squad.

As for the uniforms depicted here: On the left is the uniform of the "K.u.K. Militärgeographisches Institut" and on the right is a generic field-dress uniform of a mid-WWI Austro-Hungarian soldier. Again I did not depict a rank, because I am not yet sure which rank will suit Ferdinands character the best in the story. I also have to do A LOT more research. And yes the hairstyle is pretty anachronistic
