Description I decided to try and draw fur, so chose a dog. Initially i tried to draw an alsation, but after 4 hours it looked a complete mess, so for the second time only i had to give up and chuck it away, which knocked my confidence a bit. After a few hours sleep i decided to draw something even harder to get my confidence back so i'm now not only drawing a dog, but also a cute puppy who are in a barn.

Although i've drawn my family dogs before, i've never drawn fur or in graphite, so i'm really not sure how it wil turn out. But i know i need to start practicesing drawing animals and pets asap, as it's another weakness i have and i don't want to mess up again.

Thanks, i've just finished it after drawing for 30 hours over a 37 hour period. It looks better than i thought it would from this initial WIP.

This looks really good so far!
The fur flows and has a nice look to it, and the nose looks wet and shiny, like a real doggie's.
I can't wait for this to be finished!

You're welcome.
I think it looks good... maybe you just need to step away for a little while, and then come back to it. Sometimes that helps me when I'm stuck on a certain piece.

Thanks, but if you ever try drawing a dog, be warned the fur is pretty tough. And i'm glad i inspire you, as i want to show that although talent is important, practicesing is just as important.

Thanks, i assume you must like dogs from your id and name. This is my first real attempt at drawing a dog in graphite and it's turning out to be pretty tough.
