Description I get asked about pens quite a bit. What I use for colored line art, and what I mean when I list "colored pens" as a material. OBVIOUSLY I can't sit and list every pen I use in every single drawing submission, but I will give a run down of what's here as best I can.

Mostly I use the pens on the front side. I use them to ink and define shadows after I finish coloring (this applies especially to the tsukineko pens) Some of these pens wont be very marker proof if you use smooth bristol, cardstock, manga paper, etc. The paper I use holds ink quite well so I don't really have a problem with smudging.

The back side is all gel pens, and I really only use the white ones for highlights, or glittery ones from time to time. The rest just sit there and clot up.

So...what's in the picture:
- copic multiliners
- sakura microns
- prismacolor fine liners
- faber castell pitt artist pens
- martha stewart writing pens
- staedtler triplus fineliners (not very marker proof)
- stabilo point 88 liners
- tsukineko memento dual markers (the big ones, I use them a lot these days)
- sakura gelly rolls (the best gel pens i've used)
- atyou spica glitter pens
- sharpie POSTER paint pens (POSTER paint, they're a bit different from the normal paint pens)
- assorted off brand gel pens
- other random loner pens that I cant really be bothered to list

And for clarification on the Tsukineko "markers". These are scrapbooking pens that have a brush tip and a...less than fine pen tip. They are NOT alcohol based markers and they are copic proof.

What's so bad is that my collection has grown substantially since this photo was taken OTL As for paper, I mostly use strathmore 300 series vellum bristol...or cheapo georgia pacific cardstock XD

Whoah, that's looks like a really great collection! *A* I have my own small collection of black pens, but I rarely use them, because I'm afraid of traditional media. XD I still love it though and I love to spend my time in art-material shops! *w*
