It's because it's one of the very few best Adon fanarts I've seen. There's such little Adon fanart, and this one has the kind of quality I wish they all had.

Oh, yeah! He's definitely a A-tier character! In the right hands, he's more formidable than Akuma (except for super cheesy Shin-Akuma, but he doesn't count because he's a cheesebag). Akuma is an overrated douche to begin with, and I'm sick of Capcom carrying him on their shoulders and always proclaiming what a 'badass' he is, when Adon could Mauy-thai-kick the living shit out of him. 'Alpha 3' really disappointed me for making it an undecided draw between him and Akuma in the storyline, 'cause I was so rooting for Adon to whup his ass. Not only that, Akuma kind of gave the finger to Adon in Adon's ending, and Adon makes an appearance as the mid-way boss in Akuma's story, who gets brushed aside. So, they never finished it, and I was offended! He's got nothing on Akuma, and if he comes back in a Street Fighter V (which he'd better, 'cause I'm writing a REAL letter to Capcom on Adon's behalf), they'd better resolve Adon's quest to better Akuma, with him coming out victorious! They probably didn't want to upset either character's fans, but they really didn't show much respect for my man Adon in 'Alpha 3,' and kind of pandered to the fans of the character who's probably got the most of them.

This looks great. I love the drawing, the line weight, the subtlety of the shading. Awesome. The only quetion I have is if you put the original scanned on multiply in Photoshop. Is that what is creating the slightyly darker shaded area around the character. If you're interested, a friend of mine showed me a way to very easily recreate the lineart on a new layer so the mulyiply function isn't necessary. I'll let you in on it if you want.

Yep, you got me.. i set the scanned layer to multiply and just erased around the image, what's this other technique you speak of? I'd be terribly grateful

I learned it form Joaquim Dos Santos. His DevArt ID is 2-cents, so thank him for this one. It goes like this:
Select the entire layer the lineart is on. I usually just use the Select all function.
Copy the line art.
Open up a new Alpha Channel. Make sure "selected areas" is marked.
Copy the line art into the channel.
Then click on the thumbnail of the new channel while holding control. This will create a selection just around the line art itself that is a lot more precise than just using the magic wand tool.
Open a new layer. The selection should still be there.
Fill the selection with black, or any other color of choice.
The awesome part is is copies the line art perfectly. Down to the line weight and opacity and everything.
It's kind of long and hard to remember, but it takes away the limitations that can come with the multiply adjustment, and it's easier than retracing every line with the brush tool. Give it a try! Hope you like it.
