Alright, you guys probably don't remember Jet ---> www.deviantart.com/penciltree/…
Jets were supposed to be pilots back on the Black Empire, but...since Jet had a VERY silly and playful personality, I thought better change her into a Spinel! ^^

About her backstory, she was in charge to cheer up Black Diamond, unsucsessfully tho: not cause she wasn't funny, but just because Black Diamond was difficult to amuse. So she kinda wandered around the Black Empire cheering up as many gems as she could and that was fine with Black Diamond. One day, while she was running around, searching for some gem to prank (usually Black Lace Agate), she ended up exploring a room and there she saw what they did to defective gems: being shattered only cause Black Diamond couldn't stand having imperfections in her empire. So she grabbed one puffed Blue Goldstone, put her into a space capsule and sent her off the empire. That Blue Goldstone ended up to be Shimmer --> www.deviantart.com/penciltree/… www.deviantart.com/penciltree/…, whom capsule crashed on Homeworld and she was found by the Off Colors.
Sadly, cause of that generous and brave act, Black Diamond was fusious: now one imperfect piece from the Black Empire was running free! Black Diamond decided to punish Spinel by mounting her gemstone into a pillar.

And there she stays ever since.
Maybe this will have a happy ending, since I'm working on new fanfictions about the Black Empire and what happens next, we'll see. ^^
