Caught my eye immediately. Reminds me more of Clifford Still, not much in common with Motherwell. I,ve been browsing to see what's out there and this is the second one of your paintings to catch my eye!

I can see why you would say that but I just found some of Motherwell's work that is solely ochre and black. In fact, after seeing his pictures, I remembered why I used to use this combination alot. Thanks for stopping by and the kind comment.

Motherwell and Still are two of my favorite Artists. Of course Van Gogh is at the top of my list, but I might have to choose Kandinsky above even him.

i think its pretty cool.. reminds me of motherwell in some way.. contrast between ocre (yellow-brown) with black..

this one looks like a topographical map too. wow i love that idea for an abstract. you've got a weird palette, i mean that in a good way!
