the two gems making up brazzle (pyrite)
(is gold a gem? doesn’t matter brazzle’s entire reason for being on earth is about finding a hat and i will not be stopped)
gold is very weak and cannot support herself on her own. she doesn’t extend her hand out very often if she can help it… she likes to keep to herself very literally. also, while not inherently malicious, she doesnt really care to help others very often. the main exception to that is hematite as they fuse to form brazzle
gold knew she would need to fuse if she didn’t really want to be so weak all the time… she chose hematite bc hema was easily flattered and impressed and immediately trusted gold
most gems dont trust her since gold is seen to be sort of a parasite (trying to “use” others to help herself)
hematite is on the naive side and looks up to gold very much. gold always seems to know what to do and bc hema looks up to gold she tends to agree with almost anything gold says. gold doesnt honestly say very much though, she is often disinterested and aloof… which leads to brazzle being pretty stable since hema agrees w/ gold often and gold doesnt really have outward strong opinions so there is not much conflict
brazzles love of hats comes from hematite always having wanted to try a nice hat but being unable to because her hair is difficult to work with (and also the hats that do fit over her hair cover her eye)
hema cant shape shift well but it comes naturally for gold (because gold is malleable. haha. humor.)
gold doesnt find humans particularly interesting and doesn’t care for them (in a good way or a negative way). hematite thinks humans are FUCKIN FUNNY AS SHIT
brazzle’s gems (the big squares on her shoulders) are not her ACTUAL gems… she grows pyrite over both gems as a small defense.. especially for gold’s as she is, as already mentioned, very weak
