Wanna know something interesting about Ricardo? He is actually undead :3 This is how he really looks--

In his country, there was a war going on, and Ricardo decided he had to help defend his home. He ended up dying in their war's equivalent of the battle at the Alamo. The enemy nation had a cult in it who had heard of Ricardo's magical prowess-- They traveled to the fortress after the battle and salvaged his body, and attempted to reanimate him as a lich under their control to use as a weapon. The resurrection worked, but before they could assert control over his mind, Renado intervened and saved Ricardo. (Ricardo was incapacitated and didn't know Renado saved him.)

He is able to maintain a living human form via magic, but should his body be destroyed in any way this is the only physical shape he can use. Either this, or his spiritual form. Which is cool, because it allows him to go through walls and possess living things/animate dead things. And his staff, in case he is feeling too lazy to float and would rather someone carry him. :3
