THANK YOU !!! and it's a technique called Batik that i learnt at school :S

you start with a white piece of cotton,
then add hot wax on the parts you want to keep white,
then you just cover the cotton in a light coloured dye, (yellow,light blue etc.)
wait for it to dry,
wax again and repeat getting darker and darker XD
