My entry for the 's national animals contest.

So I looked at the national animals for my country (Australia) and they were a kangaroo and a emu, and the unofficial one was a koala. I didn't feel like drawing any of those animals, so it was good the rules said we can do our states animals if we want (I'm in Queensland). So I got to do a brolga!

So brolga do this cool mating dance, so I did something similar in my drawing. The biggest thing with this picture is I'm not sure these guys are anthro enough. Birds can look really weird when turned anthro, so I gave them clothes and brains and I hope that's enough :S

I'm getting into this style of art more. It can look really good done well. Dunno if it count's as enough effort or not, seeing as there's no background or shading. But I did spend a good 5 hours on it Oh and we had to put in special symbols into our drawing to prove they were done for this comp. I ended up using three, as it meant I didn't have to make up cool markings to go on the birds, I could just use the cool markings available

Anyway it was fun doing it, so I don't care if I win or not
