Petie had just recieved the news that his grandfather, Daniel Walter, who owned a large farm, had sadly passed away. Petie was saddened by the news, although he had not known his grandfather that well. At his home, he read the letter from the lawyers -- Daniel had left the farm to Petie. He was a little surprised by this, but such things did happen. He didn't really think there was a way to make farming work, he was just a cashier. He cuddled his cats and thought over what he'd do -- he'd probably sell the farm. Petie wasn't sure how to sell land, but he'd find out somehow.

But just then, someone exuberantly rang the doorbell of his room in the old house which Petie was renting. Petie stood up to open the door, and to his surprise, it was his school friend Gideon. The debonair man strode into his apartment immediately when the door opened.

"Hey Petie! What is up!" he yelled out, taking a seat.

"It isn't really a good time, Gideon... though I'm glad to see you again," Petie responded politely.

"Ah well, there's something I want to talk about with you. So I saw you inherited that farm," Gideon winked. "And well... it could be put to more than just being sold. I don't want you to get ripped off for the price of the farm, Petie. There's a lot of potential in it."

"I know it might have potential, but I'm just not a farmer; there are so many things that could go wrong..." insisted Petie.

"You don't have to if you don't want to, but... I want to give you this chance to start something. And if you want, I'll be there for you. On the business side of things." Gideon smiley warmly.

Peter went back to thinking. Goldie snuggled up to him, and he rubbed his hand through the Siberian cat's long fur. Just a minute ago, he had thought this would never work -- but would it? He had always loved animals, and having a farm of his own would give him so much opportunity to protect more animals. That was what he had always wanted. Images formed in his head -- goats, sheep, cows, all on the farm of his own. And he'd take care of them all. This was what he wanted -- even if it went wrong, he would try it. After all, what was he accomplishing here, as a cashier? There was little keeping him here, and so much he could help with. He rubbed Doll, the little grey cat nuzzling his leg, and then faced Gideon again.

"I'd like to take you up on the idea of a farm. And if you'd like to come with me, help out, share the farm, you know? You are more than welcome," said Peter calmly. He reached across the table and took Gideon's hand. The blond man grinned. "This is the chance I've been waiting for... thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. Now, let's rock!" He jumped up, quite child-like suddenly.

"So... what exactly is on this farm?" asked Petie, wanting some more information.

"There's a lot of room on it, but it's mostly gone empty. Your grandfather sold off a lot of the animals over time, but there's still space for many, many more stock."

Petie was launched back into his imagination once more. This was just perfect -- founding a farm of his own.

"And how do you know all this, Gideon?" he asked, playfully teasing his friend.

"Well, let's just say, I found that farm very interesting!" he winked.

OKAY I've wanted to make a sort of story arc for my ranch plot for a while, I've had this idea for so long, but I've had so many worries about finishing it, it being my own idea that's not like others. I've found ARPGs much more motivational when I have a lot of story and character development, so I'm going to try to continue with this plot and enjoy the ARPG. Reading the comics and stories of other ARPGers was really motivating to me too, thank you all who have your own story and keep on with your awesome plots!! I am also super open to hearing feedback on this so do let me know = D
