Anna is the kind of person you either love or hate, she’s either your best friend or completely insufferable depending on her mood, and can be relatively toxic (whether she means to or not).
She is the main rider at Pennylane Stables, and the past year has been mostly competing in show jumping with her horse Baloo, and has started to come back more into dressage on her pony, Beetroot. Anna has been riding since she was four, which took her non-horsey parents by complete surprise, as she was scared of ‘big’ animals such as sheep and goats when she started, however she was hooked from the get go. Originally, she began riding at a local riding school because her childhood best friend did it and she wanted to be just like her. Anna rode at the same riding school until she was 14, when she realised that the treatment of the horses wasn’t of a high standard (not to mention her dislike of everyone that worked, rode and owned the yard). She then moved to a different yard a bit further away, where she rode school horses until she was 18 and got her first horse, Blue. With Blue, Anna started competing in show jumping and dressage.
More recently, Anna became the Co-Owner of Pennylane Stables, with her friend Cian, after the original owner gave them the property after getting unwell. Since then, they have expanded the yard considerably, and are housing over 100 horses.
Anna’s absolute favourite thing is baby ducks, if she could, she would have a full army of them. She also hates babies, simply because she finds them scary.
