The green background and orange light you contrasted work beautifully, simultaneously vibrant and soothing. I love the rhythm of your strokes, interweaving the colors and shades and feelings to create such a gorgeous, atmospheric piece.. its exactly like contented the end of someone's life, just another lovely, slightly wistful sunset.

when I grow old, eyes like valleys
depressed in the earth, I should like to live
in a small log cabin high up
in the mountains where grass still grows
green where
the sun still glows the color of
clementine where
I am finally alone
but never lonely.
when I grow old, tall and stooped like pines
once compassed towards a northern sky, I
should like to wander
in the frog-sung glades and weave
below the hawk-nests
like solemn hats proffered by branched arm
and see an egg hatch, some birth
I am unaccounted for.
when I grow old, my skin resembling
wolf-pawed earth in wrinkled-sight and smell,
I should like to look fondly
at the pale-pink morning as it blossoms
into day, and remember fondly
those times with certain someones
like the gentle perfume
of a faded flower, marking a happy page
somewhere before The End.
