Description Some day I'll be trying to get a job in the animation business, and someone will find this picture and go "Hey, aren't you the lady that once drew two young boys almost kissing and posted it on the internet?" and my answer will be "Yes, yes I am."

I won't get the job.

But I wanted to put some real effort into a picture, ink it and do a nice background and everything, and this is the result. I also wanted to have something to present to that was of them at the current age. Also, crappy title . Come up with a better one for me if you like, I'll change it to that.

Thanks! I'm always happy to see someone else who supports this makes me feel a bit less strange. The soft reflections took me quite a while I was so sick of constantly changing them by the end of the picture.

my mum actually SHOWED my sketchbook to her boyfriend one night! ...fortunately he didnt notice the subject matter and said i was a good artist
i try so hard to keep them away but people see my 'mad skills' and want to have a look in my sketchbook it seems rude to say no cos most of them give me puppy eyes! XD

XD That's so much nicer than the people around me! They generally swipe my sketchbook when I leave my bag, or physically hold me back. In the nicest possible way and if I cause a fuss they generally give it back without looking XD.
But hoooo boy, if my Mum ever showed my sketchbook to her boyfriend I'd probably kill her . That's really nice of your mum's boyfriend.

lol XD im probably gonna get another sketchbook for schoodles usually i just use scrap paper i obtain from various classes. yeah but mum likes my art, she visits my dA gallery often and even reads my journal entries.

Wow D: Your mum is cool. And I like 'schoodles' XD I have one all-purpose sketchbook- one usually lasts me two or three months if it's large enough. But it means I have to huddle a bit in the corner to avoid pissing off the teacher but since I do actually work sometimes they don't mind much.

yeah she likes my art she just wishes it was something "different" XD
i have one MAIN sketchbook at the moment but its running low now and its lasted me two months. i prefer nicking paper because it saves me from schoodling in the back of my book

XD I think my Mum's so used to my art (and me XD) that she's come to terms with what I draw.
I used to nick paper, but I ended up with tons of loose sheets getting crumpled in my bag and getting lost forever XD and I get far too attached to pictures to be able to throw them away.

i fold an a4 twice so it has 4 seperate bits on each side and its tiny enough so it fits in my blazer (yeah we wear itchy blazers for uniform ) and also tiny enough to hide from the teachers peering eyes

From the sounds of it you have way cooler school uniforms than I did. In a sort of kitschy-cool way XD. We just had grey shirts and grey jumpers. With YELLOW trim. It was awful.

ours are navy blue with a black and yellow trim for girls and no trim for boys. for some reason though we arent allowed any othe coloured pieces of clothing, i have rainbow gloves but im not allowed o wear them at school due to our coloured dress code! we're only allowed to wear navy blue or black stuff! it sucks!

I remember that! DX Stupid uniforms. We had it similar, but by Year 11 most of us could get away with things like rainbow gloves. The teachers turned a blind eye to the older kids because they knew them as friends, not just as students. Now I can wear whatever I want >: D and I plan to wear pajamas to college some day when it's warmer.
