My entry for 's Zanpaktou contest

Shikai: Kuufukugami (Hunger-God) The inspiration for the appearance of this Zanpakutou is the 'double-cleaver' technique described as being one of the great used Skills during some of the original Japanese episodes of 'Iron Chef." I've always suspected that besides their ability to eat, the Akimichi Clan would always have some excellent food preparations abilities as well. The release word is "Musaboru" (Devour).

Bankai:KuchiKuufukugami (Mouth of Hunger-God) The double cleavers become a pair of really long hashi
(chopsticks) that seem to guide a swirling vortex, but at the wide end of the vortex is a gaping mouth with rows of sharp teeth.

I also designed a humanoid form for the Zanpaktou. At first glance he appears to be a chubby little fellow wearing a apron with a surprisingly tiny looking mouth for a 'Hungry-god'. However the visible 'mouth' is a fake, and his real (much larger) mouth is hidden in the flabby looking fold of the jawline. He appears to be a singular entity even though the weapon is a paired weapon...assume what you will.

Experimented with pens, but reprinted my line art onto cardstock before coloring it with copics, Drawn by me, colored by me.
